#PinktoberSlam - Redding Model Ticket

#PinktoberSlam: in collaboration with the American Cancer Society & the American Cancer Society Discovery Shops, this is a month-long photo tour you don't want to miss! Our theme in Redding is The Breakfast Club: whether you're a jock, prep, prom princess, brainiac, rebel, or angsty artist, come ready to rock pink and blow off detention! Tickets for this event are limited - don't wait to purchase!

Featuring:

• Wardrobe on location by @acsdiscoveryshopredding - all pink, white, & black wardrobe with 80's vibes
• Prize to the model or photographer who rocks the pink 80's Breakfast Club theme hardest
• Fun challenge box items to help stretch creativity & collaboration
• Live Music
• Be part of an epic Instagram gallery shared by hundreds of creatives from five different cities: Medford, Redding, Chico, Auburn & Sacramento

Wardrobe:

Wardrobe items will be provided on location by @acsdiscoveryshopredding. In support of Breast Cancer Awareness month, we're asking all models and photographers to visit the @acsdiscoveryshopredding prior to October 12 to purchase pink items from their curated collection just for Portrait Slam participants!

*Our theme is The Breakfast Club: whether you're a jock, prep, prom princess, brainiac, rebel, or angsty artist, come ready to rock pink and blow off detention! Retro 1980 or early 90's vibes. Also Think Pretty in Pink or Saved By the Bell. In support of Breast Cancer awareness month, prioritize pink, black, and white in your choices! Prop ideas include: school packs & lunch boxes, retro pop culture references, lettterman jackets, fingerless gloves, big hairspary hairdos, spandex, scrunchies, snap bracelets, big jewlery, walkman stereo, leather jackets, bandanas, sweat bands, ect. Both models & photographers: do your best to express your individual style through this theme while wearing mostly pink, white, or black!

Excited about what you found for the shoot? We want to know! Share an Instagram story featuring an item from the Redding Discovery Shop and tag @Portrait_Slam & @ReddingDiscovery Shop. *American Cancer Society Discovery Shop of Redding is highlighting Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October by collecting on-theme pink items in the shop. Help the American Cancer Society buy purchasing at least one pink item from Discovery Shop Redding prior to the slam - 100% of proceeds go to towards research for a cure and support for those struggling with a cancer diagnosis! Can't make it to the shop? You'll be able to puchase (with cash only!) themed items on location at the Redding School of the Arts in addition to whatever you bring from home. Please challenge yourself to get wild, creative & DIY with the pink 80's Breakfast Club theme! Photographers: this means you, too! 

***As always, we celebrate individuality & creativity: please feel free to express that uniqueness. In other words, let's get weird!

Parking: 

There will be plenty of parking available near the main enterance to the school. Please check in at the registration table when you arrive.

This event is by invite only. To reserve your spot, please register after reading & agreeing to How This Works on our website at portraitslam.com. Upon ticket purchase, your name will be added to our registration list (no need to print out your ticket). Please note, we work hard to curate a balanced & diverse group of creatives. Your ticket will become non-refundable after Thurs. Oct. 9th. If you'd like to suggest other models or portrait photographers for the shoot, please let us know!
